POEM - MY PRISON

My PRISON

Pain is my prison
and I can't shut my eyes.
Another of life's lessons.
Not in color just in black and white.

Prison is my pain.
The days just go on and on.
Dreaming only to be woke again.
And the dream is gone.

To walk without pain.
To stand without a hurt.
To play with my daughter
only to get burnt.
Tears in eyes.
Head hanging low.
Another goes by.

 Pain is what I know.
It's who I am.
I am so much more.
But that I don't understand.

All I know is what is wrong.
For all I know, pain is my only song.
