Poem - PAWN

PAWN

Do you feel like an angel?
Spread your wings like an eagle
and just fly away.
Shot down in flames.
From the self inflicting games.
All the normal people play.
You're friends with the devil.
They gave you the shovel
and they are hold you down.
You still sing along
an you go along.
Without ever looking around.

You buy what they sell.
Along with the lies they tell.
And you live how they want you to.
Blink and you will miss.
Ugly/pretty doesn't exist.
With everything else and the truth.
The place of living society
in the land of hypocrisy.
There's a million reasons why.
If you bow down.
They'll shoot you down
without you even knowing why.

You're a pawn in this world we live in.
You play their games and you give in.
It's their rules. It's their game.
You lose when you play.
They take your king with their pawn
an now your life is a setting sun.

Die and let live.
Do you wonder why?
Forive to forget.
There are so many lies.
Do you listen to the voices in your head?
Open your mouth and listen what is said.

POEM - The Midnight Ray

The Midnight Ray

Starry eyed wild child looking for the weekend.
Tomorrow is today and today has no end.
Freedom flight flying so high. Flying so high.
The past is the past.
Good times always last.
One last trip to say goodbye.

And in the midnight ray
shadows dance on the wall.
Time slowly ticks away.
Till we all take that fall.

Depressed, suicidal loner looking for someone.
One pill, two pill, three to kill the pain just because.
Nothing to do 'cept die like the rest.
The now is now.
Rock bottom hits the ground.
So don't die like the rest.

And in the midnight ray
shadows crawl cross the floor.
Good life gone to waste.
Wasted away - fading away.
Fading off to never more.

Used and abused. Tortured soul torn apart.
Raped life cause of who you are.
Who you are you do not know.
Today is today.
Whatever happened to yesterday?
Will life have a tomorrow?

And in the midnight ray
shadows creep forever.
Living a life of pain.
Living the life of never.

Life in the midnight ray,
fades AWAY.
Only to say goodbye
to the ray of midnight.
To the thing that you call your life.

The Day in the Making!

Tomorrow is the big day.
Me and Amber finally.....get married.
Joined as one as God has wanted.
This day is a long day in the making.

We have been together almost 11 years now.
We met the same way my mom and dad met.
My mom worked with Amber and set us up.
We have had a couple hiccups along the way as any couple would .
But I can say that we are stronger now than we have ever been.

I give that credit all to God. All his GLORY!
The closer we have gotten to God the stronger our bond has become.

Without Him we are all empty just plodding along. Going through "the motions."
It may seem cliche' but it is really that simple.

I thought it couldn't get any better than when we had Madisyn.
We was close then and had the family we always dreamed.
Madisyn brought us back to what was always missing
but God gave us what we never thought was possible.
We are as "one" have always been but that  "one" will be made stronger tomorrow.

We would have been married long ago but never thought long and hard about it.
A few months ago we decided to "Surrender" to The Almighty One.
I am so happy we made that decision.
There have been ups and downs since then but tomorrow is the day.
The day that has been  so long in the making.

Tomorrow we will offically be "The CAMPBELL Family."

Blogging some More

So I haven't blogged in what seems like forever.
Actually it has been forever.
With the arthritis bothering me in the winter
and the holiday season I tended to forget about the blog.
Till this past Sunday at church when a friend mentioned the blog.
At that moment I realized how I haven't posted anything in months on here.

That my friends will change.
Even if it is something really short
or more poem or even random musings.
Hey isn't that why I started this.
I will blog more often!

Ballad of a Wartime Hero

Ballad of a Wartime Hero

Lost in the wilderness
Trapped in a circle of death
Pray we don't lose many
Hope we still have time left

Crawling out with the trees
Calling out all I know
Death flies by in the breeze
Along with all mortal souls

The enemy is coming in
There's nothing we can do
Stand proud and stand tall
Only the fortunate few

Haze drawn up under breath
Can't look and see
Blinded by all the death
All this to be free

Trapped into another world
Where people turn unto themselves
Faith begins and ends here
Along with about everything else

Praying for my wife and kids
Hoping to see another day
For everyone I haven't met
Least comes the day when all this goes away

We came a long way
Only to meet survival
Killing for a living
Living for a revival

A sane man will die
An insane man will die as well
Nothing is safe here
When we are all trapped in hell

Over and over it goes
Another one down with everyone else
Forever with never it knows
Death spins round like nothing you've ever felt

As we creep
As it creeps
The days go by
Who we be
Who is he
As angels have to die

Opening up my heart of stone
Leaving nobody here alone
Everyone here leaves with me
For our chance to be free

We will fight
and damn it we will win
Stand up with me tonight
and tomorrow will rise again

Cause we are soldiers
and we are young
Forever and ever more
Looking forward to a new day in the sun
After we win this war.

Poem - Nature's Mother

Nature's Mother

A waterfall
Raging - Crashing
A bird
Flying free
A cat
Gracefully beautiful
Nectar buzz
A honey bee

A sidewalk
Heavy of weight
A sanctuary
Nature naturally
A sanitarium
Sane of insane
Peace and love
A crazy dream

A window
Voyeur's eyes
A tomorrow
Nature's prayer
A mother
Loving and caring
Nature's mother
Bleeding everywhere

SURRENDER

SURRENDER

 The days go by
minute by minute
Do you stop even for a second
and hand your life over
He is always there
with a helping hand
Always with a care
The FATHER always understands

Do you have questions
Why you live like you do
We are all broken
just going on and on
The foot is on the pedal
Not looking to slow down
We all meddle
Without ever looking around

Face the mirror that is ahead
Don't ever turn the other cheek
It will become clear
This life we all fear
Open your heart and
SURRENDER!!

Surrender your life to The ALMIGHTY ONE
Lead the way for us all

We are all afraid
of what will become
Without opening our eyes
and seeing all the GLORY up on HIGH!
With open arms
to wrap us up in
HOLY FATHER
I'M ready to BEGIN!

To SURRENDER this life of mine
ALL IN! ready to walk the line
It is all clear now

I'm on my knees
Here is my LIFE!
It might be broken and torn
But I know you'll see it right

SURRENDERING!
From this day on
SURRENDERING!
Giving my life to an AWESOME GOD!
To lead me!
To teach me!
On my knees
SURRENDERING!!

To SURRENDER this life of yours
ALL IN! Ready to face the world
It is all clear NOW!

LEAD ME!
TEACH ME!
ON MY KNEES!
SURRENDERING!
I'M ON MY KNEES!
SURRENDERING!!
